Blind Boys of Alabama

Since its inception in the 1930s, when all were students at the Talladega Institute for the Deaf and Blind, this legendary Gospel ensemble has captivated the hearts of listeners. Kaki King's SEI with Tamar Eisenman

Date: November 5, 2021, 8:00 p.m.

Kaki King, the first female on Rolling Stone's "guitar god" list, is a true iconoclast. She is lauded for her percussive and jazz-tinged melodies, stunning live shows and use of multiple tunings on acoustic and lap steel guitar. Kaki’s latest innovation, SEI ("six" in Italian), absorbs the entire stage, as guitarists become dancers, performing the rigors of both choreography and composition. With multiple instruments spaced out strategically, SEI amazes with the six individual strings of the six guitars mastered by Kaki and two special guest musicians. kakiking.com

Watkins Family Hour

Date: January 18, 2022, 7 p.m.


Two-thirds of the award-winning Nickel Creek, siblings Sean and Sara Watkins formed Watkins Family Hour in 2002 as an outlet to try out original songs and covers with a rotating guest list of celebrity and celebrated musician friends.  Taking up residence at LA’s prestigious club Largo, the spot became a welcoming home for the ensemble, whose improvisational performances resulted in a 2015 album release.  With the pandemic in full swing, the duo was able to spend ample time in the studio revising, revisiting, and revamping favorite old and new material. An Evening with Bill Frisell

With over 60 albums, Bill Frisell is recognized as one of America’s most vital and productive performing artists. Matsuriza Taiko

Under the leadership of Takemasa Ishikura since 1988, Matsuriza Taiko drum troupe is an undisputed fan-favorite across the globe.
