The Huber Marionettes

Internationally recognized, marionette artist Phillip Huber is most widely known for his work in the Academy Award-nominated film Being John Malkovich and his depiction of China Girl in Disney’s Oz the Great and Powerful. Phillip's production, Suspended Animation, has toured worldwide. His creations have performed on stage with Tommy Tune, magician Harry Anderson, Sandy Duncan, and Jim Nabors and been featured on The Tonight Show with Jay Lenno and Showbiz Today on CNN. Phillip begins a Broadway residency the week after leaving the Buckman!

An Evening with Maggie and Mark O’Connor

With three Grammy wins, seven CMA Awards, and multiple national fiddle, guitar, and mandolin champion titles, Mark O’Connor’s music and career truly defy categories. His new project, “Mark O’Connor Duo” features both his originals and classics, and it highlights his violin, guitar, mandolin, and vocals in concert with his wife, Grammy-winning Maggie O’Connor. His legendary partnerships include David Grisman, Bela Fleck, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Yo-Yo Ma, Edgar Meyer, Ricky Skaggs, Vince Gill, Charlie Daniels, Johnny Cash, Travis Tritt, and Marty Stuart just to name a few.  It is an honor to welcome this super-star couple to the Buckman stage.

Underwater Bubble Show

$35 for adults and $30 for students

Back by popular demand, the Underwater Bubble Show returns to Buckman by way of Latvia and takes audiences below the surface into a majestic world where fantasy becomes reality. UBS incorporates drama, pantomime, dance, puppetry, juggling, aerial arts, acrobatics, contortion, sand art, and imagery with the beauty of soap bubbles. Participants of all ages will delight in this colorful, magical utopia that merges science, light, and imagination.

Sons of Mystro

Thursday, November 2, 2023, 7 p.m.


The Sons of Mystro are made up of brothers, Malcolm and Umoja, who were born in South Florida to a Jamaican father and Barbadian mother. They honed their skills in the Broward County public school system in Florida and have performed with The Fray, Najee, Fantasia, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Charlie Wilson, New Edition, Earth Wind and Fire to name a few. Mentored by the famed Black Violin, the Emerging Artist Under 21 award-winners practiced and formed the duo using their instruments to interpret reggae classics, American pop songs, and their own creations accompanied by a DJ and a drummer.

Liz Story 40th Anniversary Celebration

Friday, August 9, 2024, 8:00 p.m.


Famed Windham Hill composer and pianist Liz Story will present a rare, solo concert at Buckman, celebrating the 40th anniversary since the release of her first of eleven albums on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. The Steinway artist, who survived and overcame a debilitating brain hemorrhage, will be honored by Sony Music with the release of two retrospective albums and the digital re-release of her entire sheet music catalog. Her Memphis appearance follows a sold-out Carnegie Hall performance in November of 2023.

Trace Bundy

Internationally-acclaimed guitar virtuoso Trace Bundy must be seen, not just heard. His music is poetry in motion, using harmonics, looping, multiple capos, and his unique banter, and stage presence to deliver an unforgettable live concert experience. Listening to his intricate arrangements is one thing, but seeing the fan-dubbed “Acoustic Ninja” play live confounds even the most accomplished music lovers as to how one person can do all that with just two hands and ten fingers.

Trout Fishing in America

Trout Fishing in America is the songwriting collaboration of Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet. For 45 years, their vibrant, percussive sound and dynamic stage presence have cultivated a multi-generational fan base at performing arts centers, clubs, and music festivals all around the country. Keith and Ezra are making a rare winter run to offer an evening performance and Saturday morning kids’ show!

Lee Rocker of the Stray Cats

Grammy-nominated Stray Cats founder and Bass Player Hall of Famer Lee Rocker made his mark singing, playing, standing on, spinning, and rocking his giant upright instrument. The legendary trio sold over 10 million albums, garnered 23 gold and platinum-certified records, were MTV music video pioneers, and are noted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with one of the 500 most important songs in rock. From the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, appearing on Saturday Night Live, and touring with the Rolling Stones, Lee Rocker has seen and done it all. After headlining worldwide, Buckman is thrilled to finally welcome this Rockabilly legend to Memphis!

Fairytales on Ice Presents: Peter Pan and Wendy

Sit on the edge of your seat as professional, champion ice skaters, Broadway singers, and cirque performers captivate audiences of all ages. The beloved, classic story of Peter Pan and his pal Wendy comes to life with dramatic and imaginative enactment, as the Buckman stage converts into an ice rink for two performances only!


The Tannahill Weavers

The Tannahill Weavers is one of Scotland's premier traditional bands. Its diverse repertoire spans centuries with fire-driven instrumentals, topical songs, and original ballads, demonstrating the rich cultural heritage of the Celtic people. The Scottish Traditional Music Hall Of Famers have made an international name for themselves by blending old-style melodies, modern rhythms, reflective ballads, foots-stomping reels and jigs, into live performances.
